Well we made it across the border!! It was an absolutely monumental moment for all of us, the first time any of us had set foot in the Northern Territory.  We spent a good solid amount of time doing the standard “Look I’m in Qld… now I’m in the Territory, now just my arm is in Qld.. etc”!  Lots of fun for the kids and indeed all of us.  We chatted about all that we were looking forward to and that the Territory has to offer including Uluru, Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles), Alice Springs, Kakadu, Darwin and everything in between!  Before embarking on our journey along the desolate Barkly Highway.

Just over half way across the Barkly highway at the Barkly Homestead Roadhouse we stopped for a cuppa and let the kids cut sick with the camera.  They got some beauties, the one of the galahs is a favourite of ours.

When we made it to the end of the Barkly highway and hit the Stuart highway it was another milestone, we reached another major crossroad of our trip.

This post needs a better overview and in time it will be boss, in essence we have completed our time in the Northern Territory and it was a treat.
